Job Duties: Formulate mathematical modeling and apply business analytical methods to interpret and analyze information gathered from a variety of sources to assist management with decision making on marketing, business development, and operational processes optimization. Specifically,
Ø Extract and collect data from various sources and aggregate, clean, normalize, validate, and test large sets of structured and unstructured data by using statistical methods and data tools such as SQL, R, and Tableau.
Ø Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to investigate the market demand, market size, and market trends, understand company’s position in the market, and identify performance improvement opportunities.
Ø Analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and purchasing trends to identify potential new markets and factors affecting the demand of company’s products.
Ø Identify and analyze industry trends and apply data analytical methods (regression models include linear regression and logistic regression, cluster analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, time series analysis, etc.) to benchmark company’s operational performance.
Ø Utilize operational performance metrics to analyze existing products, customer, and market data to help define and drive strategic decision-making in R&D, production, inventory management, and supply chain.
Ø Design operational models to explore data across diverse product categories to identify patterns, trends, and correlations, and gain insights into competitors and industry trends of Analytical Laboratory Instrument to uncover opportunities for arbitrage and new product development.
Ø Analyze information obtained from management to conceptualize and define operational problems, such as out-of-control overheads, no performance monitoring, lack of planning, unstable cash flow, etc. Use statistical analysis, simulations, and predictive modeling to develop practical solutions to operational problems.
Ø Generate analysis reports to summarize operational performance, identify opportunities and risks, define and evaluate problems, and recommend solutions to assist management with decision making and gain a competitive advantage in fast moving Analytical Laboratory Instrument industry.
Job Requirements:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.
