We are currently hiring a Sensory Production Technician in Cincinnati, OH.
The Sensory Technician will be responsible for supporting daily functions for a high-performing sensory lab. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining the sensory area and equipment within the sensory lab, as well as executing sensory panels daily. They will support in the collection of information used to protect the sensory profiles of high-quality products and to ensure profile consistency across different production locations. This person will perform testing based on established sensory practices to obtain accurate results. Organization, task prioritization, and adhering to timelines will be essential.
What You'll Brew:
- Assure the highest sensory quality of our products by monitoring the sensory characteristics of the brands at various processing stages
- Manage all sensory evaluations of products and communication of sensory panel information to key stakeholders
- Prepare samples using good overall lab practices, and documentation at each step.
- Maintain Sensory Lab inventory
- Set up evaluation room for testing; including delivery and pickup of individual samples, sample preparation, and execution of panels
- Track samples as they are moved through testing. Ensure communication with other groups regarding sample arrivals, as well as sensory test schedules and samples still needed to complete sensory sessions
- Analyze test results and ensure ratings and technical reports with product descriptions and key points are delivered accurately and within established deadlines
- Ability to perform quality work under time constraints
- Maintain records for quality tracking purposes
- Have the ability to complete basic analysis and interpretation of test results.
- Must have excellent communication skills. This may be either in the form of verbal or electronic communication (including sensory results)
- Promote high-quality sensorial methods within a professional work environment.
- Conduct and assist in discrimination testing - utilizing sensory methods, sensory tools (ex. Compusense), and statistical evaluation to guide production locations better
What Ingredients You'll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Sensory Science, Food Science, Statistics, Psychology or another related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in sensory analysis / sensory lab/sample preparation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required
- Proven success in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds (1 case of beer)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (8-hour workday)
- Must be Age 21+
- Flexible working hours (night or weekends) as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
Level: 9
In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe pay rate for this role if hired is $16.83 - $35.87 per hour.
