The International Council on Clean Transportation's (ICCT) Visual & Digital Manageris key to leading and executing the ICCT's communications strategy. The V&D Team is responsible for an extensive communications portfolio that includes: 1) the ICCT's visual and brand standards, producing compellingly designed products (like reports and data visualizations); 2) producing video assets; 3) managing and executing the ICCT's overall digital strategy (including the ICCT's web and social media assets), and 4) managing complex organizational projects (like organizational campaigns and events). In addition to leading their own portion of that portfolio, the V&D Manager leads the overall V&D Team and is responsible for guiding a multidisciplinary team to keep a large, complex communications portfolio moving.

The V&D Manager collaborates with ICCT staff members at all levels to proactively manage the ICCT's visual and digital portfolio. That means, in part, helping to prioritize the work of the V&D Teams to appropriately expedite and resource key organizational projects. That also includes managing the workflows and workloads of the V&D Team to ensure that the right team members are working on the right projects at the right times, keeping the ICCT's priority projects on track. And, perhaps most importantly, that strategic focus also includes continuously analyzing and optimizing the processes that govern the ICCT's communications activities - the V&D Manager's overarching goal is to maximize the efficiency of those processes without compromising quality. This is a full-time position is based in either our San Francisco or Washington, DC office and will report to the Senior Director of Communications and Development.

Duties:



  1. Lead one work stream of the V&D Team's portfolio (e.g., design, digital, video, production).



  1. Develop and manage end-to-end the visual and digital portions of communications campaigns (including go beyond a single regions/programs), that support the ICCT's policy and programmatic goals by identifying strategic needs, setting engagement objectives, and allocating and adjusting resources accordingly.



  1. Proactively translate complex analytical and policy objectives into actionable visual and digital engagement plans and products.



  1. Oversee, analyze, and optimize the steps in the ICCT's visual and digital production processes to maximize efficiency and control quality.



  1. Manage the workflows and workloads of the V&D Team (including freelance contractors)to ensure they meet deadlines, maintain quality standards, and meet organizational objectives.



  1. Oversee and review the V&D team's work products (and provide constructive feedback for improvement) to ensure they consistently meet ICCT standards for accuracy, clarity, tone, and timeliness.



  1. Guide, coach, and mentor the V&D
    Team and other ICCT staff members on ICCT visual and digital standards.



  1. Regularly analyze and report on the status of items in the V&D Team's portfolio.



  1. Ensure parallel processes and products (e.g., engagement and outreach activities and materials and editorial processes) are integrated and coordinated with V&D Team processes.



  1. Coordinate, lead, and represent the ICCT in virtual/in-person events, workshops, conferences, publication launches, etc., including planning, logistics, material development, facilitation, panel moderation external promotion, and coordination with external vendors.



  1. Proactively inform ICCT staff members about visual and digital plans and activities, including by leading trainings or informational sessions on ICCT communication activities.

This full-time position will be based in our Washington, DC or San Francisco, CA offices and offers a salary of $138,800/ year if based in Washington, DC. If based in San Francisco, CA we offer a salary of $146,100/ year. We offer an excellent benefits package, including health insurance, substantial paid vacation, retirement contribution with a generous 7% employer contribution, transportation subsidies, and other benefits.
