Kalman & Company is seeking to hire a Fielding Coordinator, Support Level III for an off-site position supporting the location of Fort Detrick, MD.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. The contractor shall serve as a liaison between the requiring office, various manufacturing/support contractors, and other program offices.

2. The contractor shall coordinate fielding activities with the gaining services, which may require traveling to the receiving unit locations to act as the program office representative during the fielding process and conducting an on-site 100% inventory and functional check of all equipment.

3. The contractor shall perform fielding analyses for programs in order to provide input into MFPs, MFAs, and development of system support packages.

4. The contractor shall update, track, and report the status of support strategies, fielding documentation, provisioning plans, and other Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation.

5. The contractor shall track fielding events by maintaining an up-to-date fielding schedule for all systems and negotiating an equipment fielding schedule with all appropriate parties.

6. The contractor shall participate in pre-fielding teleconferences and meetings to ensure all gaining unit questions are answered and program office requirements are met.

7. The contractor shall provide input to support development and update of training materials and user guides pertaining to the transition of fielded systems.

8. The contractor shall conduct NET and refresher training to deploying forces in both CONUS and OCONUS sites.

9. The contractor shall coordinate and execute fielding IPRs on a scheduled basis.

10. The contractor shall identify any issues with fielding events and recommend solutions

11. The contractor shall prepare issue documents and fielding reports for higher headquarters.

12. Assessing reliability of fielded systems based on maintenance or field surveys for their program office.

13. The contractor shall maintain an electronic library of: a. Fieldings for property accountability and compliance with policy and DoD regulations b. Contract deliverables, ensuring that the deliverable review process is completed monthly

14. The contractor shall participate and represent the program office in various IPTs.

15. The contractor shall participate in or conduct weekly meetings to confirm and verify the status of systems fielded and their sustainment activities.

16. The contractor shall review, process, coordinate comments on, and track action items from various meetings.

17. The contractor shall research and respond to fielding inquiries and tasks.

18. The contractor shall negotiate an equipment fielding schedule with major commands, G[1]3 Force Modernization/Integration, and gaining commands.

19. The contractor shall perform post-fielding sustainment actions. 20. The contractor shall conduct Total Package Fielding (TPF) of systems in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 700-142 or other Service-specific procedures.

21. The contractor shall prepare and conduct new material introductory briefs.

22. The contractor shall create, update, and maintain various support agreements (i.e., Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), Field Service Agreements (FSAs), Memorandums of Need (MONs), and MFAs).

23. The contractor shall attend and provide input to the Logistics IPT, comprised of Service stakeholders, specific expertise from required logistics elements, and Government and contractor representatives.

24. The contractor shall prepare all Next Generation Diagnostic System (NGDS) logistics[1]related issue documents.

The salary range for this position is $80K/year- $100K/year, and this is a general guideline only and is not a guarantee of compensation. Kalman considers factors such as, but not limited to, position responsibilities, education, work experience, knowledge, training, skills, and business considerations when extending an offer.

Minimum Requirements:



  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • An Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • The contractor shall have seven (7) years of relevant experience in equipment fielding/transfer, material release and type classification in accordance with AR 700- 142.
  • The contractor shall possess a basic knowledge and expertise of the functionality, administration, configuration, and concept of operations in a Joint Product Office environment.
