Task Order Project Manager - Pentagon | TS/SCI Clearance Required

Astrion is seeking an experienced Task Order Project Manager to lead a high-impact team supporting mission-critical operations for the Department of Defense. This role is based at the Pentagon and serves as the primary liaison between the government and Astrion for all matters related to Task Order 0001.

In this pivotal position, you will oversee cost, schedule, performance, and staffing, while ensuring seamless day-to-day execution. You will support the Program Manager and act as the single point of contact for all programmatic and operational aspects of the task order.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of major R&D, engineering, and development efforts for defense-related programs.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with R&D program managers and senior leadership.

  • Identify and resolve emerging issues across administrative, contractual, and technical dimensions of the support services contract.

  • Proactively monitor task order performance and address challenges with foresight and initiative.

  • Interface with Joint Staff, military services, and warfighter stakeholders to align engineering and analysis efforts with mission needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including leadership in technical program management or support of defense organizations.

  • Proven success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder defense projects.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.

  • Experience working in or with the Pentagon is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability in ambiguous or evolving environments.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in high-stakes or classified settings.

  • Familiarity with DoD research, development, and acquisition processes.
