Job Description

Prepares, analyzes, maintains and interprets statistical operational performance and financial data, identifying trends and deriving conclusions. Guides lower level Analyst. Assists in coordinating project planning, support documents, presentation of deliverables and implementation of a more complex nature. Organizes and sets project priorities and maintains timelines.

Job Responsibility

• Guides lower level Analyst in the completion of assigned tasks.
• Assists in coordinating project planning, support documents, presentation of deliverables and implementation of a more complex nature.
• Coordinates monthly statistical reports; reviews and performs analyses to assist in monitoring performance.
• Compiles and maintains monthly statistics; works with hospital leadership to coordinate volume, revenue and expense related information and trends.
• Assesses financial and operational reports (monthly budget reports, internal departmental reports, average length of stay reports, physician reports) and performs relevant analyses; translates complex financial and operational data into understandable format.
• Participates in development of short and long term action plans including but not limited to goals and objectives, resource requirements, and completion schedules for assigned projects.
• Assists in the development of standardized data collection, the use of benchmark data and reports across system hospitals.
• Assists in the development of computerized databases; supports operational initiatives and program development.
• Identifies and supplies analysis of cost saving opportunities.
• Assists in the development and presentation of hospital annual budgets; prepares relevant data requirements, analytical support and other follow-up for presentations including but not limited to tables, charts and graphs.
• Supports committees and meetings; maintains a strong understanding of support area and its clinical components including but not limited to the financial and clinical classifications.
• Maintains awareness of regulatory changes and potential impacts to the service line.
• Operates under limited guidance and work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Job Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.
