Human Resources Generalist

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a wide variety of Human Resources functions including compliance, employment recruiting, employee relations, disability/FMLA leaves, on boarding, workers compensation management.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions;


collaborates with departmental managers, to understand skills and competencies required for

openings.



  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Conduct and coordinates on boarding and new employee orientation programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including


but not limited to recruitment, benefits, and leaves.



  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring


complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.



  • Serving as primary contact for work related injuries, includes; good communication with injured


employees, filing claims timely, maintaining OSHA Log, working with adjusters and guiding

employees by facilitating access to medical care. Active participant in Safety Meetings.



  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and


recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.



  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Prior ADP experience, a plus.


Education and Experience:



  • 3-5 Years HR Generalist experience, preferably w/in a manufacturing environment
  • Labor Relations, and PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
  • Minimum Associate's Degree in related field preferred, Bachelor's preferred.
