Job Description

The Content Marketing Coordinator develops and executes content and strategic marketing plans for assigned marketing channels. This role creates compelling content in multiple formats to drive higher customer and prospect engagement resulting in more qualified leads and higher customer satisfaction. This includes ensuring optimized messages across all platforms including campaigns, websites, education, media and events to drive qualified leads and exceptional customer experiences aligned with business strategy and sales objectives.

This position has a virtual-first hybrid work arrangement with a preferred location in Houston, TX with a minimum of two days a week in the office or co-located with other team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates content plans, calendars and budgets designed to optimize lead and customer engagement for all brands, as well as identifies ways to re-purpose content.

  • Creates and distributes engaging and relevant content across various media channels, such as blogs, social media, podcasts, videos, webinars, and more

  • Acquires, creates and manages digital assets including but not limited to videography, photography, and design assets

  • Produces and maintains marketing literature, presentations and sales enablement resources

  • Acts as business unit subject matter expert in content strategy, development, management and deployment.

  • Responsible for ensuring brand value proposition and key messages are appropriately communicated through all mediums.

  • Guides third-party content creators and copywriters to ensure messages are consistent and meet content strategy objectives.

  • Works closely with peer marketing functions to develop and execute strategies that optimize marketing performance outcomes.

  • Develops content and media assets for demand generation campaigns and serve sales teams with sales tools.

  • Determines appropriate content mix, media and distribution channels

  • Deeply understands customer personas and buying journeys to optimize content.

  • Ensures best practices for content optimization are implemented and executed.

  • Regularly monitors and reports progress of content performance.

  • Supports customer education efforts, including but not limited to topic identification and course creation.

  • Support ongoing customer and internal communication efforts.

  • Tracks project status in Asana project management tool.

  • Guides the creative development of digital and print advertising campaigns by interpreting and providing feedback on visual design, layout, and messaging to ensure alignment with brand strategy and campaign objectives

  • Provides creative direction for digital and traditional advertising, partnering with designers and agencies to ensure alignment with brand standards

  • Reviews and approves advertising assets to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with marketing objectives

  • Acts as a partner to Corporate Marketing by advising as needed on Shelter Solutions branding, advertising, media, collateral, events, literature, and digital marketing.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or a related field

  • 2 pluyears of experience in a marketing, content development or communications role

  • Outstanding copywriting and creative writing skills

  • Strong understanding of demand generation best practices

  • Proven ability to translate features and benefits into compelling marketing copy

  • Exposure to paid search campaigns and search engine optimization

  • Demonstrates project management skills and proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

  • Exhibits the ability to switch from the creative side of marketing to analytical side; able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound

  • Ability to work well and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of an organization


Additional Information

Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000
