Most Important:

• Sr level position - stakeholder management is a HUGE piece, will be dealing with high-net-worth individuals in the Middle East on a regular basis
• working with developers directly, must come from technical background (App Dev)
• must be extremely organized and adaptable, be able to create a project outline and manage a lot of moving parts

Job Description Summary:

Customer Base:

• Initial support for customer in Dubai and the Maldives (Client HQ is Dubai and factory is located in the Maldives)
• Monthly trips to Dubai for a few days.
• A couple of trips to the Maldives for factory visits and project documentation/build-out.

Project Focus:

• Super boat/yacht factory in the Maldives; custom, high-end projects.
• Also, may be involved in a project in the Bahamas down the line

Key Skills:

• Strong Agile and technical background.
• Familiarity with Jira and Slack.
• Ability to adapt and pivot quickly.
• Roadmap adherence and project plan execution.
• Preferably from an AI background.

The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate activities across seven AI research lines. This role requires advanced project management skills to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, timely completion of milestones, efficient resource allocation, and compliance with requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with executive leadership, product owners, and research teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple research projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, scope, and compliance standards.
• Lead Agile Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint demos, retrospective) across diverse research teams.
• Facilitate monthly Go/No-Go prototype demos, including preparation and coordination with technical teams, Lab President, EVP, and product owners.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, reporting requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Develop and maintain clear project documentation (e.g., roadmaps, status reports, risk registers, and compliance checklists).
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks and roadblocks that could impact project timelines and objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities between research teams, platform engineering, compliance, operations, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field); Master's degree preferred.
• PMP certification, Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP) strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience managing complex projects, preferably within R&D, technology innovation, or defense contracting.
• Proven track record working under compliance-intensive environments (DoD, SBIR, federal grants).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively in a dynamic research environment.
• Able to travel 25% of the time including internationally.
• Actual salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
