Genesis10 is seeking an Engineering Technician for a 6-month contract assignment. This position will be based onsite in Salt Lake City, UT.

Schedule: Onsite 5 days per week.

Compensation: Up to $30.00 - 35.00 per hour, depending on skill and experience level.

Summary:

This team supports tactical projects for our client. They execute smaller non-growth projects that keep systems operating and gas flowing. Projects take months to get planned out, and materials ordered, and construction takes a couple of days. Our client needs a resource to assist in closing out projects.

The Engineering Technician position is to compile, review, and assemble engineering, material, test, and construction records for our client's natural gas pipeline facilities per the client's and PHMSA requirements. These records may include pressure test records, nondestructive evaluation records (NDE), material test records (MTRs), and MAOP documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Review the requirements of what needs to go into Aconex.
  • Put together records and close out projects.
  • Aconex experience is not needed, but the resource will be trained on this technology.
  • Need to be able to do calculations in a spreadsheet.
  • Someone who can look at records to see if they are complete or incomplete.
  • Hands-on experience with pipelines as an engineering tech will be helpful.
  • Someone who has worked in fabrication shops, with pipeline experience is a plus.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Construction, and Document Controls.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to operate with minimal oversight.
  • This resource will research electronic project files, review record accuracy, perform gap analyses, find missing information, prepare documents, and compile & assemble the required project documents per Williams and PHMSA project record requirements.


Skills:

  • Understands pipeline construction, material, and project records, and is familiar with DOT 49CFR192, ASME B31.3, and ASME B31.8
  • Successful candidates will have field experience (Operations or Construction) and/or knowledge of pipeline and facility construction and associated records.
  • An Associate's degree preferred and a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience
