The Market and Supply Chain Analysis Directorate provides technical intelligence on worldwide space and missile system threats related to technology development and industrial base capability, and conducts business, market, and supply chain intelligence analysis to support a broad range of US Government customers. As the Assistant Principal Director for Market and Supply Chain Analysis, you will lead a diverse organization providing economic, market, and supply chain analyses. Key responsibilities include developing a strategic plan that builds and maintains capability for current customers while positioning and anticipating their future needs; engaging with and succinctly communicating results to USG customers and business leaders; and providing detailed and informed technical oversight to ensure high-caliber research products, outcomes, and intelligence insights. You will also be expected to cooperatively work with and lead teams utilizing PWW technical intelligence assets, as well as subject matter experts across the entire Aerospace Corporation. Work Location: This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA, Chantilly, VA, or Crystal City, VA. What You'll Be Doing
- Overall leadership and management of Aerospace's economic, market, and supply chain analyses which supports multiple DoD, IC, and civilian customers. Develop subdivision objectives and strategy consistent with corporate goals and initiatives and customer expectations. Provide direction and planning for achieving both strategic and tactical goals.
- Establish trusted relationships with key senior space leaders and peers across Aerospace. Establish and maintain Aerospace's positive reputation with new and existing customers as a problem solver and thought leader. Anticipate future customer needs and evolve an agile, high-quality technical and enterprise support work force to respond at speed.
- Deliver advanced decision support capabilities and products to our government customers. Lead and support cross-corporation and cross-organizational teams to execute studies and analysis activities of national significance. Foster appropriate cooperation and coordination across the space enterprise to help assure enterprise mission success.
- Provide technical leadership to develop, scope, and ensure successful execution of economic, market, and supply chain analyses.
- Provide strategic leadership and support for planning and implementation of policy, acquisition, and requirements initiatives, developing architectural alternatives, assessing system budgets and schedules, and rationalizing investment portfolios, as needed.
- Exemplify Aerospace's cultural attributes by operating strategically, fostering innovation, leading change, engaging with impact, and delivering results at a level consistent with an enterprise leader role.
- Drive and facilitate cross-customer coordination via proactive engagement with other teams within Aerospace.
- Demonstrate leadership for team members, set organization strategy and goals, provide clear expectations and direction, and provide critical feedback and mentoring. Responsible for day-to-day management of organization including recruiting, development, performance management, compensation, and resource allocation and management.
What You Need to Be Successful - Assistant Principal Director - Economic & Market Analysis Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or closely related field
- 12 or more years of progressively demonstrated expertise in economic or financial analysis
- Demonstrated leadership skills including team building/leadership, conflict resolution, staffing and customer relationship building
- Experience leading or supporting study teams examining topics of national significance
- Proven ability to work effectively with senior government customers from diverse organizations
- Proven ability to network to address issues and provide the customer with the best available technical and programmatic analyses
- Excellent written communication skills - organize complex materials and concepts in clear and logical manner
- Excellent verbal communication skills - clear, concise, persuasive; builds consensus through speaking; polished, professional style
- Possess, previously possessed, or be eligible for a Top Secret clearance and SCI access
- Ability to travel as required (on average quarterly for approximately a week)
How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Graduate degree in economics, finance or closely related field
- Prior experience leading teams in a matrixed organization supporting customers
- Technical or engineering background
- Experience in space system acquisition and familiarity with national security system procurement processes
- Experience in the operational use of space systems for DoD missions
- Experience supporting development or implementation of national space policy
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial success cultivating and establishing new customer relationships and meaningful associated work
- Experience with classified data handling
- Existing TS/SSBI/SCI security clearance, issued by the U.S. Government

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills. (Min - Max) $168,200 - $252,400
