Job Description
YOUR OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting Renewable Nature Gas Maintenance Technician opportunity. The RNG Maintenance Technician inspects, and diagnoses issues and then performs minor and major mechanical repairs on equipment, installs equipment, and performs preventative maintenance on all equipment at the RNG facilities. The Technician also responds to emergency maintenance requests, as required. The Technician will maintain an excellent safety record, housekeeping, and personal conduct while offering ideas for improvement and cost savings. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Activities include but are not limited to: Maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and minor electrical equipment and systems as assigned.
- Responsible for daily log tracking, maintaining preventative maintenance schedules, reading and interpreting P&ID's and other documents to troubleshoot issues.
- Plans own work, procures proper materials, ensures spare parts are available for the repair and maintenance of plant equipment, keeps inventories at operational levels and helps reduce maintenance costs.
- Repairs, rebuilds and overhauls production and service equipment at the facilities.
- Maintains accurate and timely work records, completes paperwork daily, and ensures timely and accurate input of all maintenance records in the work order system.
- Works closely with or oversees contracted work crews.
- Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies to perform maintenance work at facilities.
- Practices safe work behaviors and keeps good communication with all RNG technicians and the Seaboard Foods RNG Management team.
CORE COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS IN ALL ROLES: instills trust, communicates effectively, action-oriented, ensures accountability, and drives results. QUALIFICATIONS Required:
- High School or GED.
- 2 or more years of experience maintaining compressors and pumps or related education/training.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR.
- Good computer skills.
- Good with the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and work orders in English. Ability to legibly write routine reports and correspondence.
Preferred:
- Degree from technical school or some college preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience maintaining compressors and pumps
- Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.
- The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
- The duties of this job require a person to stoop, bend, work off of knees, climb ladders and work in high areas up to 100 feet, work in dark areas and work in confined spaces after trained to do so.
- The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
- The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. Must be able to be on an on-call rotation.
