Job Description
To provide efficient and timely technical assistance to assigned customers in matter relating to their packaging equipment operations and to facilitate customer quality and packaging performance improvement. Level I: Possess a mechanical and electrical technical aptitude with a basic understanding of packaging machines. Generally requires management support to handle intermediate to difficult issues. WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
- Understands customer requirements relating to problems to products and equipment.
- Services customer equipment, where applicable, to maintain optimum performance of equipment, packaging films and shrink bag materials.
- Identifies machinery and packaging film/shrink bag problems and ensures that they are properly communicated to the appropriate staff representatives.
- Maintains accurate and timely reports on work activities and time utilization.
- Performs and completes package/shrink bag and machine audits on packaging machines.
- Participates in field trials of new packaging materials.
- Assists in the installation and start-up of all packaging equipment manufactured and sold by Amcor.
- Provides input, as requested, into the design, installation and start-up of packaging equipment manufactured by outside suppliers or RE&D.
- Responsible for scheduling own time and travel and determining priority of customer calls.
- Works on special projects as assigned.
- Establishes and maintains effective relations with customers, sales personnel and internal Amcor staff personnel.
- Completes KMS reporting within 5 days, completes expense reports within a month of business trip and turns in weekly schedules within designated time frame.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- Education: Technical Degree
- Experience: 1-2 years experience in food packaging industry (material & machinery)
- Willing to travel 60% or more and holds a valid driver's license
