Job Functions: The Senior Director of Marketing and Communications (SDMC) implements marketing and communication strategies and tactics to enhance an organization's brand, reach, and impact. This role involves leading a team and ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms. The SDMC also plays a key role in building relationships with stakeholders and driving strategic initiatives. Requirements
Education and Experience: Minimum BS/BA degree in marketing or related field. Extensive experience (minimum of 10 years) in marketing and communications, leading highly performing teams, and a track record of demonstrated success. Skills Requirements: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in digital marketing and social media. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience managing budgets and resources. Exceptional writing and proofreading skills. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Word Press, Social Media Platforms (Sprout, Hootsuite, etc), CRMs, and Marketing Automation Systems. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Decisiveness. Commitment to setting and meeting deadlines. Agile project management. Self-motivated; proactively and effectively manages up. Ability to handle job related matters in a professional and diplomatic manner with a willingness to accept constructive criticism. Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications. Ability to effectively use computer equipment: monitor, keyboard, mouse, and other computer-related peripherals. Skills in Microsoft 365 suite of products. Demonstrate maturity and sensitivity to issues of faith, homelessness, poverty, culture, and working alongside people from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. Ability to walk and climb stairs and to lift 20 lbs. Physically able to work in outdoor/temporary shelter environment considering the local climate and its normal fluctuations. Other: Must demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Valid FL driver's license with a good driving record and insured vehicle to transport self to various locations and events when necessary. Availability during core office hours (8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays) with shared coverage of special events on some evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak time periods is necessary. This is an on-site position based out of the Tampa headquarters. There is flexibility to work from home occasionally (1 or 2 days per week) as schedule, media commitments, and event coverage permit.
