The Corporate Revenue Cycle Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Manager, Revenue Cycle - Revenue Integrity.

The Revenue Cycle Manager of Revenue Integrity is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the system wide charge description master (CDM), ensuring the accuracy of all CDM elements such as charges, CPT, HCPCS, and revenue codes, supporting the integration of charges between clinical and financial systems, and working with facility charging departments to ensure accurate and timely charge posting activities occur.

The Revenue Cycle Manager of Revenue Integrity provides guidance to hospital leaders to validate the timely and accurate recording of revenue at each location, continuously provides updates and education regarding regulatory changes impacting charging/billing/coding practices, and ensures CDM reviews are completed by a third party in accordance with schedule and all annual updates are processed prior to year-end. The Manager oversees a team of staff performing charge builds, chargemaster maintenance, pricing support, and/or data analytics.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provides direct oversight and maintenance of system-wide CDM.
  • Supports and monitors the integration of charges between clinical and financial systems.
  • Validates and educates charge service areas on appropriate charging protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates with regional finance and the CFOs to ensure accurate recording of revenue at each facility.
  • Based on extensive knowledge, validates the use of CPT/HCPCS/UB04 revenue coding, modifiers, CMS billing regulations, and APCs as appropriate.
  • Reads, understands, interprets and analyzes statistical and financial reporting.
  • Implements related organizational initiatives in a manner that is inclusive and participatory.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field required. Significant Revenue Cycle experience (i.e., 5+ years in addition to the minimum) might be accepted in lieu of certain college education requirements.
  • 8-10 years of related experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of both healthcare revenue systems and operations, including specific and extensive experience with revenue cycle operations.
  • Strong understanding of the functionality of charge services and the relationship between the CDM and the general ledger, cost accounting, budget, and productivity; be knowledgeable in all billing related activities such as modifier use, APC edits, and UB04 requirements; and have expertise in mechanisms of charge triggers, controls and reconciliation and coding for purposes of compliant billing and charging procedures.
  • Proficiency in chart review and clinical record information and coding methodologies and must be able to understand and interpret medical records and hospital billing and have experience and be knowledgeable of complex outpatient procedure terminology and be able to understand workflows in ancillary departments.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills, proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.), and the ability to meet deadlines and multitask.

Travel Requirements: Travel Requirement is approximately 25%.
