Job Overview
The position maintains statistics and presents metrics on the performance of the GITOC's systems and personnel in order to ensure support is provided in an efficient and effective way. The Business Systems Analyst coordinates all administrative actions supporting GITOC operations. This position is for internal CGS employees only. Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
- Develops or modifies moderately complex information systems. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary.
- Guides and advises less experienced Business Systems Analysts.
- Work in some phases of systems analysis and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Collects, analyzes and provides regular and ad-hoc metrics with regard to Service Response Times, System Metrics, Work Measures, and Customer Surveys and perform risk and gap analysis for strategy and planning efforts.
- Works directly with technical experts to consolidate, verify, and format data in common, understandable reports.
- Operates as the functional expert for reporting on applications and systems supporting AMC UC and mission IT systems, including keeping abreast of industry trends and external benchmarks.
- Maintains a grasp of data and automated tools and develops visualizations that assist business leadership in understanding patterns, dependencies, and interconnections of key metrics.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle potentially highly stressful situations.
- Timely completion and accuracy of department work.
- Adherence to established company safety policies and ability to work in a safe manner, using any required personal protective equipment (PPE) as may be required.
- Compliance with company standard operating procedures and personnel policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years experience in Business Systems Analysis
- Ability to successfully pass any employment background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- Current DOD Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.
Working Conditions:
- The work is typically performed in an indoors work environment.
- Work is generally performed indoors (sedentary).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use standard office equipment to perform essential functions of the job (i.e., phone, computer, copier, etc.).
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods at a time, use of hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk or hear, or smell.
