Laboratory Assistant - Temporary

Pay Rate: $21.00 - $25.00, depending on experience and qualifications

Position Summary

This temporary position will assist with lab inventory of chemicals, research reagents, and lab supplies. The work hours are flexible, and could be part-time or full-time.

While this position is not eligible for our regular employee benefits, all RFU employees are eligible to accrue personal leave at a rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked per year. All RFU employees are also eligible to make unmatched contributions to voluntary supplemental pre-tax and post-tax retirement plans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Inventory and create Excel spreadsheet of all chemicals in the lab, inventory and create Excel spreadsheet of all research reagents in the lab (refrigerators and freezers), inventory and create Excel spreadsheet of all supplies in the lab

Conditions of Employment

  • Must achieve satisfactory results from a background check

Required Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or undergraduate degree
  • Wet lab experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to read handwriting
  • Attention to details
  • Accurate and precise
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some Biology knowledge and wet lab experience
