Procurement Specialist
This position is responsible for supporting procurement functions throughout the supplier lifecycle with emphasis on finalizing contract terms, sourcing support, purchasing execution and support functions for risk and compliance of third-party suppliers. This position facilitates the purchasing process between the business area and other stakeholder areas (e.g., Legal, Third-Party Risk, Controller, Technology, etc.) This position is responsible for contributing value in the form of direct cost savings through sourcing and negotiation and/or managing demand and risk to deliver cost avoidance. This position will use the Purchasing system to execute supplier lifecycle activities as well as developing reports, metrics, processes, and support for business areas using the purchasing system.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinates business demand and requirements into sourcing strategy or contract.
process (i.e., category management and contract services). - Negotiates and executes purchases through approved buying channels.
- Delivers savings and/or cost avoidance through execution of supplier lifecycle activities.
- Utilizes the Purchasing system to develop reports, metrics, spend analytics.
- Manages compliance and risk for 3rd party suppliers.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management preferred
- 1 year of experience in Supplier contract negotiations/management
- 1 year of experience in Purchasing or purchasing system
Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
Salary: To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience
