Job Duties

  • Oversees the work flow of the Transportation program ensuring efficient shuttle routes, adequate driver coverage, and maximizing inventory for rental van needs.
  • Schedules, coaches, resolves issues, and approves time of transportation employees. This includes making sure coverage is adequate and that employees perform at the expected level of safety and quality while following University policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and schedules University and Enterprise rental vans for University use, prepares trip packets, coordinates driver verifications, responds to issues and accidents, and inspects vans.
  • Coordinates and monitors the daily operations of the Saint Louis University shuttle service; acts as liaison with 3rd party vendor to coordinate routes and hours, and to resolve any related issues, complaints, or accidents.
  • Maintains records of University owned vans; coordinates emergency repairs of transportation vehicles; assists with development of Transportation policy and procedures; responds to after hour calls related to transportation questions, concerns, issues, and/or accidents.
  • Verifies accuracy of transportation rental/shuttle invoices and submits for payment; performs necessary documentation for reimbursement by departments to ensure that all rentals are reimbursed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree; supplemented with two (2) years of related work experience. Must possess a valid class E Missouri driver's license or state equivalent.Requires passing drug screening upon hire and throughout employment.
