Job Summary:
The primary purpose of a Process Lead Tech is to monitor the daily operations of a shift within a given department as well as to support manufacturing through the operation of process equipment, movement of compressed gas packages, final packaging, and completion of production records.

Principal Responsibilities:


- Support multiple production departments to help increase productivity and throughput

- Keep an Eagle Eye on safety

- Work with Leads and Supervisor to close out Corrective Actions received due to internal and/or external audits.

- Support Process Technicians in cross training of other Process Techs with less experience on both process and data management requirements

- Perform a variation of processes related to cylinder preparation, cylinder handling, cylinder filling, cylinder mixture calculation, laboratory analysis, final product packaging, and shipping & receiving functions

- Where applicable, ensure all MIP requirements are met for Covered Processes and tracked accordingly

- Independently operates and maintains proficiency on all processes within primary work area

- Perform various SAP Transactions to maintain a streamlined stock and sales order flow

- Perform tasks associated with stock and sales order realization including cylinder requisition, record recording, data management, record handling

- Collect and record basic process data to ensure process optimization and product quality

- Support raw material and product inventory maintenance

- Review and / or perform raw material analyses utilizing departmental instrumentation

- Delivers on HPO projects associated with fill processes

- Enter Work Requests into Maximo for required maintenance

- Participate in the personnel and equipment scheduling process to ensure on-time delivery of products, both internally and externally

- Provide feedback, process information and documentation (including SOP's, drawings, hazard analysis, etc.), for all departmental operations to Supervisor.

- As cross-training permits, provide backup support to the Process Technicians

- Report infractions to Supervisor.

- Point of contact with Supervisor on all matters pertaining to that shift's operation.

- Communicate with other Lead Process Technicians on shift turnover matters.

- Provide feedback on Process Technicians' performance to Supervisor for performance review.

Required Skills:



  • Basic system maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
  • This position may require shift and weekend work during extended production operations


Basic Qualifications:



  • High school degree
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in specialty gas or manufacturing environment


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associate degree preferred
