Position Summary:

The Financial and ALM Analyst is responsible for research, analysis and management of Asset Liability Management ("ALM"), investment and other financial reporting.

This position can be located in downtown New Orleans, LA or Mandeville, LA.

This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 2 years of experience in credit research, risk analysis, portfolio analysis or a related area
  • Proficient in manipulating data for analysis and reporting
  • Strong technical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint and Teams
  • Developed cognitive skills to include Analytical, Problem Solving, Decision-Making, Organization & Planning
  • Developed intrapersonal skills to include Follow-Through, Development, Resourcefulness, Initiative
  • Developed interpersonal skills to include Communication: Listening, Speaking, and Writing, Influence, Versatility, Collaboration
  • Developed technology skills to include Technical Acumen, Knowledge Management, Agile Development


Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills:



  • Experience in the banking field
  • 3+ years direct experience in banking ALM management


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Responsible for maintaining extract files detailing loan, deposit, and investment data and routing to 3rd party vendor for processing.
  • Serve as a resource person for the Asset/Liability Committee, including development and on-going maintenance of the financial institution's ALM models.
  • Perform pre-purchase analysis on investment securities as well as on-going analysis and prepare reports as specified in the Bank's investment policy as well as any other reports needed for strategic decision-making.
  • Preparation of board financial reports, liquidity position and investment portfolio composition and activity reporting.
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly call reports and public SEC reports.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Bank's loan and deposit pricing models.
  • Research economic data and trends as well as competitor information to support retail and commercial activities.
  • Perform feasibility studies, where needed, to assess market needs.
  • Assist in the development of a customer profitability model to assess customer relationships and validate decision-making.

  • Performs other duties and/or special projects as appointed by management
  • Physical Requirements: primarily sitting with some standing, walking, lifting and bending
