Job Description

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) stands at the forefront of safeguarding our nation, and at the heart of our mission lies rigorous testing and evaluation of missile defense systems. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior M&S Event Mission Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the effectiveness of these systems through meticulous planning, execution, and analysis of complex simulations. Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance for MDS test events, M&S frameworks, and risk reduction, aligning with program objectives.
• Simulation Environment Integration: Lead integration of M&S components (including HWIL) into the real-time simulation infrastructure. Troubleshoot issues and ensure performance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the technical liaison between M&S developers, integration teams, test teams, MDS elements, and stakeholders.
• Requirements Management: Translate stakeholder requirements into detailed technical specifications for M&S development.
• Technical Reporting: Present findings at technical meetings. Develop reports for leadership on schedule, performance, and risk, incorporating technical analysis.
• Test Event Feasibility: Review test plans, assessing feasibility based on resources, constraints, and simulation capabilities.
• Resource Coordination: Coordinate test resources with simulation developers to support new capabilities and integration.
• Technical Documentation: Capture development schedules, integration points, test plans, and M&S engineering criteria. Maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Status Communication: Proactively communicate M&S event status, highlighting technical challenges and solutions.
• Continuous Development: Plan and coordinate development activities for M&S and MDS elements, driving innovation.
• Issue Resolution: Track M&S issues to resolution, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Risk Management: Recommend risk mitigation strategies, focusing on technical risks and dependencies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business, Engineering, or equivalent years of experience
• Minimum 10years of related experience
• Experience in simulation frameworks and modeling & simulation environments, including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) systems.
• Experience with M&S software development lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Active DoD secret clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep familiarity with Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) and experience operating M&S utilizing OSF.
• Demonstrated project management experience, including the management of technical teams and budgets.
• Direct experience executing, conducting, and/or coordinating MDA Ground Test or Flight Test activities.
• Expert-level technical proficiency and experience integrating frameworks and models into local and distributed configurations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
