As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrols in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in supporting a healthcare location by conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible throughout the assigned areas. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will be responsible for monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service through clear communication and a caring approach. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
