Description

The Manager of Distribution Center Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily team activities related to Penn Power Group's Regional Distribution Center (RDC). They will play a critical role in PENN's ability to provide commercial vehicle and power generation solutions and is responsible for all aspects of maintaining schedules, distribution services, inventory accuracy and Supply Chain services supporting Penn's Parts Departments and mobile service organization. They have a working knowledge of all parts, shipping/receiving, warehousing, distribution and must perform subordinate duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, (other duties may be assigned):

* Ensure the safe operation of the facility, vehicles, and the safety of the employees by promoting a

culture of safety, supporting corporate safety training and procedures, and directives

* Provide relevant safety and operational training for equipment

* Ensure alignment with corporate goals and values

* Provide adequate structure, direction, and feedback to maintain employee relations

* Encourage open communication, cooperation, and the sharing of knowledge

* Supervise warehouse leadership and personnel in the direct performance of their duties (not limited

to receiving, issuing, sorting, packaging, handling, shipping, counting, and loading)

* Manage warehouse operations to ensure centrally managed stock is available for use (manage

warehouse staff in the safe inbound, putaway, pick, package, inventory, and outbound of material)

* Manage distribution routes and driver schedules to ensure interruption-free services to all

supported Penn Power Group businesses within the region

* Maintain cycle count accuracy within established standards

* Work collaboratively to align Supply Chain systems with business capability improvements and assist

with technology roadmap development that addresses the operational needs of the company

* Oversee and operate various data systems used to track and direct warehouse operations

* Assists with customer service as required (in-person, phone, and/or email)

* Expedite and track urgent non-stock material requests to support local repair operations

* Respond to inquiries regarding PEN N's product lines, pricing, and availability of parts

* Perform RDC stock replenishment orders as needed

* Analyze demand data and perform warehouse re-slotting as needed to optimize pick efficiency

* Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize repair operations

* Oversee kitting operations to best support the Penn field service network

* Coordinate OEM product and core returns through the RDC form all Penn locations

* Prepare and maintain all records and documents required for the duties being performed

Requirements

? Bachelor's degree, 5 years distribution industry experience, or military experience

? 5 years of equivalent of supervisory experience

? A strong work ethic and a desire to get the job done right

? A proven track-record of leadership with experience leading teams

? Knowledge of principles and practices of inventory control and order fulfillment

? Advanced knowledge of inventory practices, material control safeguards, and causative research
