Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Specialist of Product Ownership to join our team and support the development and management of our Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The ideal candidate will have a background in BI, data analytics, and product management, with a passion for delivering high-quality BI solutions that drive business value. This role requires experience working within an agile methodology and integrating design thinking principles to ensure efficient and effective delivery of BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Ownership: Assist in managing the BI solutions product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and ongoing management. Help define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and improvements based on business needs and market trends.
  • Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in the agile development process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Work closely with the team to ensure adherence to agile principles and practices, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Design Thinking Integration: Apply design thinking principles to the product development process. This includes empathizing with users, defining problems, ideating solutions, prototyping, and testing. Ensure that user feedback and insights are incorporated into the product development cycle to create user-centric BI solutions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, define product vision, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Technical Team Collaboration: Collaborate directly with the technical development team responsible for building the BI solutions. Ensure clear communication of requirements, provide ongoing feedback, and work together to resolve any technical challenges that arise during development. Note that this role does not involve performing technical development tasks.
  • Roadmap Development: Assist in developing and maintaining a product roadmap that outlines the strategic direction and key milestones for BI solutions. Communicate the roadmap to stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of product features.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize basic data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform product decisions. Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.
  • User Experience: Ensure that BI solutions provide a seamless and intuitive user experience. Gather user feedback, conduct usability testing, and make data-driven improvements to enhance user satisfaction.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in BI and data analytics. Conduct market research to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive differentiation.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance and usage of BI solutions, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize performance and user adoption.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively utilize BI solutions. Develop documentation, user guides, and training materials as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in product management, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with BI tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) and basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel). Understanding of data visualization techniques.
  • Agile Experience: Experience working within agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Design Thinking: Understanding and application of design thinking principles, including empathizing with users, defining problems, ideating solutions, prototyping, and testing.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality BI solutions that meet the needs of the business.
