POSITION SUMMARY

As a DC Team Member - Inventory at Covetrus, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to providing high-quality veterinary medications and ensuring the safety and health of animals. Inventory teams are responsible for tracking incoming and outgoing products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Tracking incoming and outgoing products.
  • Stocking shelves and overstock bins.
  • Receive and process incoming inventory and supplies.
  • Verify and maintain records of incoming shipments.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Match the correct product with the correct position in racking.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
  • Updating database with incoming and outgoing products.
  • Loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Maintain safety while using equipment and tools.
  • Dispose of obsolete inventory, as directed.
  • Notify inventory leadership of shortages and inconsistencies.
  • Operate equipment according to training provided.
  • Conduct and report expiration details to finance for Write Off adjustment consideration.
  • Conduct 100% cycle count per quarter at expected accuracy rates.
  • Morgue management including vendor returns.
  • Conduct Product Recall inspections and handle as per the recall notice.
  • Submit recall noticed from the US Mail or email to regulatory.
  • Correct lot numbers to allow shipping throughout the day.
  • Answer and respond to sales inquiries.
  • Answer and respond to Qualityze cases.
  • Process daily report, SHORT report, DWS
  • Investigate and solve out of balance issues between Sys21 and SCALE.
  • Process applicable Bill Only orders and In warehouse returns related to Qualityze.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relative work experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • N/A

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office technology.
  • Ability to stand and bend for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to reconcile inventory.
  • Must be able to read inventory lists.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS (HELPFUL BUT NOT REQUIRED)

  • Ability to use company e-mail.
  • Excel
  • SCALE and System 21 AS 400

HOURS AND REPORTING

  • Reports directly to Inventory manager.
  • Hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Enter OT availability, hybrid availability, remote availability

  • Must be flexible to work mandatory overtime hours during normal workweek, as needed, to ensure timely customer delivery.
  • Ability to lift and transport 30 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 50-70 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of the shift and complete tasks that include bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • May occasionally require working in a cooler environment of 35 - 46 F.
