Description

This is a senior development position in Purolator USA. The incumbent's responsibilities will lead the technical delivery and support of our customer automation development coding in Microsoft Visual Studio C#, using ASP.Net, MVC, .Net Framework running IIS web hosting with strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server. We are in the process of converting to cloud-based solutions which would require knowledge of Angular, react, java, python in the AWS environment.

The weekly schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm EST. This is a hybrid role, working in the 3 days in our Jericho, NY office.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications usingC#with both.NET Frameworkand.NET CoreinMVC architecture.
  • Build and support web applications usingASP.NET MVC,ASP.NET Web Forms, andRazor Pages.
  • Build and support cloud based applications usingHTML / CSS / Java / Angular / React / Node.JS
  • Develop and optimize backend services and APIs using.NET Core Web API.
  • Work withMicrosoft SQL Server, AWS Aurora Postgress and DynamoDBfor database design, stored procedures, performance tuning, and data integration.
  • UtilizeVisual Studio,GitHub, andIISfor development, version control, and deployment.
  • Implement responsive front-end interfaces usingJavaScript,AJAX,Bootstrap,Telerik UI, andjQuery.
  • Maintain and enhance legacy systems built onASP.NET Web Forms.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation includingsystem design documents,user manuals,wireframes, andarchitectural diagrams.
  • Interface directly with clients to gather requirements, provide technical consultation, and deliver customized solutions.
  • Define and track individual and team goals, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives.
  • Gain a deep understanding ofPurolator International'slogistics and business processes to deliver effective software solutions.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

  • Proficient inC#,.NET Framework (4.x), and.NET Core (3.1/5/6/7) along with cloud technology knowledge of AWS Lambdas, forgate containers
  • Strong experience withASP.NET MVC,Web API, andEntity Framework to support current on-prem and Angular / React / Node.JS for future state cloud
  • Solid understanding ofSQL Server, including T-SQL, indexing, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of AWS Aurora Postgres / AWS DynamoDB to help with cloud conversions over time.
  • Front-end development experience withJavaScript,AJAX,Bootstrap,Telerik, andHTML/CSS for our primary systems, and HTML / CSS / Java / Python for conversion to cloud
  • Familiarity withIISfor application hosting and configuration.
  • Experience withGitfor source control andGitHubfor collaboration.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Education and/ or Work Experience Requirements

  • Experience with deployment automation tools.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design, JSON, and OAuth2 authentication.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, Windows Server environments, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS).

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

Working conditions under which the job is performed include, but are not limited to concentrated visual or auditory attention, repetitive movements (i.e. typing, data entry, answering phone), extensive sitting during work hours .

To support laws for New York residents, the base pay range for this role is $85,502 - $103,670. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on various factors such as job-related knowledge, and relevant skills and experience.
