Position Overview:

We are in search of a highly motivated and experienced Federal Sales Account Executive to lead our sales efforts within the National Security market: Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and Department of Homeland Security. This role demands a professional with a strong background in navigating federal sales processes, a technical understanding of IT solutions, and a proven track record in expanding business within the federal government.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the National Security agencies, delivering on sales targets and strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the assigned federal territory.
  • Understand and effectively communicate the value proposition of our IT solutions and services to federal clients, with an emphasis on meeting the unique needs of each agency.
  • Navigate complex sales cycles, from prospecting to closure, and manage contract negotiations to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with federal procurement regulations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that proposed solutions accurately address customer needs and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.
  • Stay abreast of changes in federal contracting regulations, funding allocations, and IT modernization initiatives across the assigned territory.
  • Provide timely and detailed responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, coordinating with the proposal management team to ensure high-quality submissions.
  • Track and report key account metrics, forecasting and tracking key account metrics and sales results.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and industry expert to clients, providing updates on relevant products, services, and trends in federal IT solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in federal sales with a strong emphasis on the National Security agencies
  • Proven track record of achieving sales quotas and driving sales growth in the federal sector.
  • Familiarity with the federal procurement process, including an understanding of FAR, GWACs, GSA Schedules, and other contracting vehicles.
  • Technical acumen with the ability to grasp complex IT solutions and the benefits they offer to federal clients.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions including marketing, product teams, and professional services.
  • US citizenship required; existing clearance or ability to obtain a federal government security clearance is a plus.
