Senior Business Operations Analyst, Compliance
Legal & Compliance Operations Team
This is a 6-month, 20 hours/week, remote contract role located in the Pacific or Mountain time zones.
Summary
This role supports strategic initiatives that improve business operations and process optimization within the Legal & Compliance organization of a rapidly growing technology company. You will help enhance internal systems, drive process standardization, and enable high-impact compliance operations in collaboration with legal, IT, and business teams.
Our Ideal Candidate
5-6 years of experience in compliance, operations strategy, or program management
Passion for compliance, operations, and continuous process improvement
Proficient in Airtable, SmartSheet, and project management tools
Familiar with regulatory compliance and the mortgage origination process
Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams including legal, IT, and compliance
Able to work independently and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Flexible and adaptable to fast-changing priorities, timelines, and deliverables
Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
Self-motivated, organized, and not afraid to ask questions or propose solutions
Experience working in a mid- to large-size tech environment preferred
Bonus: Experience with Ausana and AuditBoard platforms
Job Description
In this role, you will lead strategic business initiatives aimed at improving compliance operations through automation, standardization, and innovative systems.
You'll partner with legal, compliance, and IT teams to streamline business processes, build internal tools, and support the effective implementation of policy and procedural systems. This includes:
Owning operational initiatives to drive efficiency through consolidation and automation
Identifying opportunities to integrate AI and automation into compliance workflows
Supporting standardization of policies, procedures, and metrics across compliance functions
Partnering to create dashboards and reports to track key compliance indicators
Maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders and collaborators
Ensuring the smooth execution of high-priority projects from ideation to delivery
You will also maintain key compliance documentation, tools, and project tracking systems to support the department's overall success and regulatory readiness.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience in project management, compliance operations, or business strategy
Prior experience in a legal or regulatory-focused environment preferred
Background in data-driven decision-making and cross-functional program delivery
The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $50- $54per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
