The Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the billing department, ensuring adherence to contractual billing obligations, and helping clients resolve questions or concerns related to billing. The scope of this job includes supervision of billing specialists, reviewing sales contracts for billing and revenue implications, driving process improvement, financial systems management, and presenting financial reporting to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the billing team by setting goals and providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Manage billing for complex and strategic clients and coordinate with internal stakeholders and clients directly on a regular basis.
  • Lead the team through multiple month-end reconciliations and closing of financial periods.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the team's use of billing systems and software by ensuring data integrity and reporting capabilities are used correctly and effectively.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management to provide insight into the business.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 4-6 years of relevant work experience
  • At least 0-1 years of relevant management work experience

Job Expectations:

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
  • Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
  • Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
