Job Summary

The Manager of Construction represents a critical function for all expansion activities as a multi-faceted role that supports Optimum: Business to Business, New Build Residential, Network enhancements, and Network Maintenance. You and your team will carefully orchestrate different groups around all these company production factories to deliver coax, fiber, and FTTH services. You will lead your team to success by strategically developing partnerships with local operations teams, local entities, and developing a plan to effectively capitalize on new construction opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Hires, evaluates, coaches, and leads staff.
  • Manage direct reports for accountability to individual and team deliverables, including on-time delivery and project penetration targets
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders from Business Development, Construction, Finance, Communities, Local Market Engagement and others as appropriate to drive successful completion of new build plans
  • Work independently with little supervision in order to execute on a comprehensive new build / network maintenance / network enhancement construction strategy.
  • Understanding of the new build process from survey to services delivered to post-sales activity and work with internal construction and sales groups to execute on survey and build plans.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy aimed at effective planning, scheduling, and executing on activities that will result in on time project deliveries.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the department strategies to achieve monthly and yearly goals and objectives as related to monthly, and yearly penetration and revenue objectives.
  • Ensure quote intervals and accuracy are within SLA for all lines of business.
    Work with local operations to address any technical issues raised by customers internal and external.
  • Partner with Optimum Market Structure team to ensure maximized go-to-market strategies.
  • Performs other duties and undertakes special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in telecommunications construction field,

  • At least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of driving results and achieving targets in a B2C or B2B environment.

  • Experience in New Build Construction processes, including working within the existing project management software (Workfront) a plus.

  • Demonstrated organizational management skills in a highly complex, fast growing technical environment including, budget management and business planning.

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve roadblocks to delivery in multi-organization teams where no direct management responsibility exists.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with executive, senior management, peers, staff, vendors, contractors, and customers.

  • Proficient knowledge, with proven experience, of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $102,816.00-$168,912.00/ year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
