Auria is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our corporate budgeting process and ensure financial compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This role will be instrumental in managing company-wide budgeting activities, maintaining compliance with government contracting regulations, and providing strategic financial analysis to senior leadership.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
Budgeting & Financial Management
- Lead the development, consolidation, and analysis of the company's annual operating plan and periodic forecasts.
- Collaborate with department heads to prepare, monitor, and adjust departmental budgets.
- Analyze plan vs. actual variances and provide insightful reporting to leadership.
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning initiatives.
Cost Accounting & Government Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements.
- Oversee the cost structure for government contracts and ensure proper allocation of direct and indirect costs.
- Maintain and update Disclosure Statements as required.
- Serve as a liaison during government audits (e.g., DCAA, DCMA) and ensure audit readiness.
- Support pricing proposals as needed by ensuring cost estimates comply with FAR and CAS regulations.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Establish best practices and process improvements within the accounting function.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, program managers, and contract administrators.
Reporting & Systems
- Prepare financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders.
- Prepare annual incurred costs submissions
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end and year-end closings.
- Work with ERP systems (e.g., Deltek, SAP, Oracle) to extract and report financial data.
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience with 2+ years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of CAS, FAR, and government contract accounting.
- Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with government contractors and cost accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- CPA, CMA, or CGFM certification.
- Experience with JAMIS accounting system
- Prior experience working with DCAA/DCMA audits.
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $100,000 to $125,000
