HOURS: Monday - Friday 6:30am-2:30pm REPORTS TO: DTG Supervisor 4imprint is seeking a skilled printing equipment technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining printheads, electrical systems, programming circuit boards, cleaning equipment, maintaining dryers, and managing inventory. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of our printing equipment. Here's what a typical day might look like. - Troubleshooting and Maintaining Printing Equipment and Dryers:
- Diagnose and resolve issues with printheads to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of printing Equipment.
- Replace or repair faulty printheads as needed.
- Troubleshooting Printing Equipment Electrical Systems:
- Identify and fix electrical problems in printing equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Collaborate with other technicians and manufacturers to resolve complex electrical issues.
- Programming Circuit Boards:
- Program and configure circuit boards for printing equipment.
- Test and validate circuit board functionality.
- Update software and firmware on circuit boards as required.
- Cleaning Equipment:
- Perform regular cleaning and upkeep of printing equipment.
- Ensure components are free from dust, debris, and ink residue.
- Follow cleaning protocols to maintain equipment longevity.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and supplies.
- Log machine repairs in data spreadsheets.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and usage.
- Be able to positively coach press operators on the proper way to operate equipment and identify potential issues before they become problematic.
- Work with manufacturers as needed for troubleshooting and training.
- Comply with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Develop preventative maintenance schedules to ensure uptime of equipment.
- Set shift priorities to ensure maintenance projects are completed.
- Pursue additional training from manufacturers.
- Provide training and support for maintenance personnel.
- Maintain accurate repair logs and service tickets.
- Participate in training classes and actively seek professional development.
- Help out in other areas when needed and when time allows.

Required education/skills/experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-1 years of experience in a similar field.
Skills
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing equipment involving circuitry, pumps, and digital print systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues, programming, and working with circuit boards.
- Familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking:
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical and operational issues with urgency to minimize downtime.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex systems, including print heads, heat presses, and digital equipment.

- Strong communication skills to effectively train, coach, and collaborate with press operators and on-site staff.
- Ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience
- At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and digital equipment.
- Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining digital print systems and heat press equipment is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment is an advantage.
Additional Qualifications
- Proficiency with computers, including navigating alphanumeric data and using inventory or maintenance tracking systems.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
