Position Purpose:

Provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to an organizational unit. Assists in preparation and control of records, statistics and reports. Administers the most complex projects and processes specific to operating unit served. May serve as an administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues. Operates a desktop computer and is proficient in working with assorted software, tools and systems utilized in the area.

Logistics: BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina- Corporate.

Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM. This onsite role is located at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.

What You'll Do:

  • Assists in preparation and control of records, statistics and reports. Gathers, prepares and distributes data. Monitors procedures and operational conditions. Recommends process improvements.

  • Completes special projects often requiring area specific knowledge as assigned by management.

  • Serves as area's project liaison with others within and outside the company.

To Qualify For This Position, You'll Need The Following:

  • Required Education: Associates degree.

  • Degree Equivalency: 2 years job related work experience.

  • Required Work Experience: 4 years of project coordination or other job-related work experience including 2 years working proficiently with word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheet and database applications software.

  • Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office.

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpretation and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Excellent organization and project coordination skills. Customer service skills. Ability to persuade, negotiate or influence. Knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
