As a leader in the Sustaining Engineering team, you would join other smart, talented, and dedicated professionals that pride themselves in analyzing the most difficult challenges for the launch-test range while developing and delivering solutions to meet the needs of the US Space Force and their customers.

This position is located at Patrick Space Force Base, FL.

Tasks for this position must be performed largely on-site, but later assignments may be performed remotely via a hybrid telecommuting schedule.

Essential Functions

  • Primarily Lead Communications / Data Handling / Timing Sub-System Hardware Engineering team activity for the Eastern Launch & Test Range (ER) to accomplish the LTRS Integrated Support Contract (LISC) objectives and requirements
  • Will also supervise a small Facilities team
  • Guide team members in understanding company vision and principles and work in concert with other engineering and department stakeholders to ensure successful planning and execution of engineering activities
  • Make work assignments to ensure qualified personnel are available to meet schedules and responsibilities
  • Support engineering efforts to support sustainment, maintenance, and operation of the LTRS
  • Ensure personnel are properly trained to execute their responsibilities and receive initial and recurring guidance, coaching, mentoring, instructions, and direction needed to ensure quality and timely service
  • Support execution and improvements to LISC Engineering processes and procedures
  • Utilize resource management data tools to identify and resolve resource issues and support escalation and communication to management
  • Identify and support the resolution of technical issues and handle escalation and communication to management
  • Monitor workflow to ensure delivery of products on time in accordance with LISC requirements
  • Prepare and provide progress and status reports, and briefings as required or requested, to inform department and program management of anticipated performance success, issues, improvement initiatives, as well as recognizing personnel through the RGNext Recognition Program
  • Provide cost and schedule estimates for various engineering efforts and project proposals
  • Management of time accountability via company timekeeping system with approval responsibilities and resolution of any timecard issues in accordance with RGNext processes
  • Development of annual performance appraisals for each employee and the development of yearly team and individual goals
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience with the emphasis on communications and timing systems.
  • Minimum of eight years' direct experience supporting LTRS Communication/Timing/Data Handling preferred experience?

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License
