The Sales Engineering Manager will oversee, develop, and mentor individual contributors across the TeleVox and Mosaicx segments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategy & Execution: Plan and implement sales engineering strategies to drive business growth.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire, train, and retain top talent while fostering professional development.
  • Business Impact: Enable top-line revenue growth by aligning team efforts with organizational goals.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage the support provided to sales staff in the development and implementation of specific sales and negotiation strategies to achieve new business as they pertain to functional or technical requirements of company systems
  • Translate high level sales strategy into clear, actionable goals for direct reports; regularly communicate goals to direct reports and track performance against goals
  • Monitor direct reports sales activity and pipeline activity, identifying opportunities to increase sales productivity
  • Lead sales engineering team and support staff through quarterly detailed account planning process; ensure plans are aggressive enough to reach targets
  • Train direct reports on how to clearly communicate solutions and technical enhancement opportunities to optimize product performance
  • Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and mentorship
  • Coordinate pursuits and account insights with other team leaders in the sales organization
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned segment and territory or area of expertise
  • Recruit and hire staff; take proactive steps to retain existing staff
  • Proactively identify obstacles for direct reports and recognize personnel problems

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, information technology, or a related field
    • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements

Experience:

  • 3+ years in a technical sales role with customer interaction required
  • 3 years business development (strategy, market segmentation, analysis)
  • 3 years managing distributed sales teams

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate direct reports
  • Proven ability to establish customer rapport and credibility through demonstration of deep technical expertise
  • Experience in sales management and business development with a highly successful track record in sales
  • Track record of driving innovation, account development, and execution of new market and innovative solutions
  • Results oriented individual able to drive priorities and own outcomes
  • Proven ability to build and grow high level customer relationships
