The Opportunity:

UCF's Student Success and Well-Being Department of Housing and Residence Life is currently accepting applications for a Residence Life & Education Coordinator. This role is a live-in, full-time professional staff member for the Department of Housing and Residence Life. This position is responsible for the daily operations of a residential community, including student staff supervision, community development, building management, student outreach and support, crisis response, and coordination of administrative processes.

Responsibilities:



  • Supervise, train, and evaluate graduate and undergraduate student staff through weekly staff meetings, regular one-on-one supervision meetings, as well as performance management and formal accountability processes.

  • Provide support and appropriate referrals to students regarding their academic, social, and personal wellbeing.

  • Provide expedited outreach and follow-up for students of concern, and mediate interpersonal conflicts as needed.

  • Design and implement residential engagement initiatives to support student success, well-being, and belonging in accordance with departmental outcomes.

  • Advise an area council of student leaders in the development of community-building and residential advocacy initiatives.




Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree Preferred.

  • Prior Housing & Residence Life experience at the graduate or professional level.

  • Previous Supervision and/or co-supervision experience.

  • Experience in crisis response or on-call support.

  • Previous budget management experience.

  • Previous experience advising or co-advising student leadership organizations.

  • Experience with StarRez, Maxient, and/or eRezLife databases.

  • Experience serving as a conduct or hearing officer.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $17.64- $21.23. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.

  • This role includes on-campus residency at no cost to the selected candidate.

  • This is an Auxiliary-funded position. Employment is subject to the availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
