Department of Surgery - Division of Plastic Surgery Job Description
The University of Missouri Department of Surgery Division of Plastic Surgery is seeking a dynamic candidate to support continued growth of Plastic Surgery in the MU School of Medicine. Ideal candidates will be Board Certification/Eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Teaching and funded research opportunities are highly encouraged and well supported. An outstanding plastic surgery center coupled with the University Hospital, Trauma and Cancer Centers allows for a full breadth of plastic surgery practice. The University of Missouri and the Department of Surgery are undergoing an unprecedented period of growth. On the MU School of Medicine campus, the NextGen Precision Health Center opened in the fall of 2021 and has provided talented minds from across the UM System with a new $220.8 million, cutting-edge research facility dedicated to solving our most pressing health concerns. Designed to empower interdisciplinary collaboration as the cornerstone of the initiative, the center is providing the collaborative nexus for activity focused on speeding the path to new treatments and making them accessible to people in need, faster than ever before. Further strengthening its superior patient care experience, the University of Missouri last year moved to an integrated campus with the construction of a new $290 million hospital pavilion. Located on the main MU campus and connected to existing hospital facilities, medical professionals from all specialties, adult and pediatric, will be consolidated into a single campus, providing unified, single location, high-quality experiences for our patients. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Board Certification/Eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Candidates will be evaluated on: any additional subspecialty training, clinical skills and interest and accomplished record in research, academics, and innovation.
