Materials Planner

Staffmark is hiring a Materials Planner for a growing manufacturing facility in Willis, TX. This role blends material planning, logistics coordination, and equipment support-perfect for an organized problem-solver with supply chain and maintenance experience.

Pay: $21-$26/hour

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

• Manage material purchase orders/contracts in SAP per supplier lead times and production plans
• Maintain 2-4 weeks material coverage while controlling inventory and costs
• Monitor inventory and coordinate supplier deliveries to meet production needs
• Serve as primary supplier contact for factory business and forecasts
• Resolve supplier invoicing and escalate issues with minimal disruption
• Maintain accurate demand data in MRP and manage vendor schedules
• Expedite deliveries for urgent production needs
• Support contract negotiations and implement inventory control (Kanban, VMI, consignment)
• Contribute to procurement reporting and KPIs
• Perform equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth supply chain flow

Qualifications:

• BS degree or 3+ years in material management/logistics
• SAP and MRP system experience required
• Skilled in supply planning and inventory optimization (Kanban, VMI, consignment)
• Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
• Experience in direct materials procurement and supplier management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP
