Let's build our community together. Join our team. The Opportunity: We are seeking a VP, Commercial Loan Officer to join the DFCU Financial team in the Fort Myers / Naples, FL area.
What You'll Do:
Business Development & Relationship Management
* Proactively identify and develop new business banking relationships with a focus on deposit and lending growth. * Grow and manage a portfolio of commercial clients, delivering tailored financial guidance and creative lending solutions that meet their evolving needs. * Connect clients with a full suite of business banking services including lending, deposits, Treasury Management, and SBA programs to help their businesses thrive. * Build strong partnerships with business owners, centers of influence, and professional networks to generate referrals and drive meaningful growth. * Represent DFCU in the community and make a real and lasting impact by helping local businesses succeed. Portfolio Management & Credit Expertise * Analyze and underwrite credit requests in accordance with DFCU's policies and risk appetite, structuring thoughtful and strategic solutions. * Monitor loan covenants, past due accounts, and renewal timelines to ensure portfolio health and risk mitigation. * Collaborate closely with internal partners-including Business Banking Assistants and Loan Documentation teams-to streamline processing and deliver an exceptional client experience. Team Collaboration & Strategic Engagement * Work cross-functionally with Retail, Treasury, and Lending teams to deliver value through joint calling efforts and holistic financial solutions. * Prepare detailed call plans and post-call reviews that translate client goals into actionable next steps. * Stay informed on market trends, industry shifts, and client opportunities to remain a trusted advisor and thought partner. Operational Excellence * Ensure compliance with internal policies, credit standards, and regulatory requirements. * Complete all required professional development and compliance training to support continuous growth.
