Position Overview: Team Lead, Access to Telehealth

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Heritage's telehealth services. This leadership role includes direct supervision of Telehealth Navigators, ensuring that both staff and individuals served are effectively supported in accessing and engaging in telehealth services. The Team Lead will provide guidance, technical assistance, and coordination of resources to optimize the delivery and utilization of telehealth across the agency.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support Telehealth Navigators in daily functions and service delivery.
  • Coordinate the implementation and ongoing management of new and existing telehealth services across Heritage programs.
  • Provide timely and responsive technical assistance to agency staff utilizing telehealth platforms.
  • Offer individualized support to clients in accessing telehealth services, including assistance in their homes, at Heritage locations, or in other community settings.
  • Assist individuals with telemonitoring equipment setup, troubleshooting, and preparing for virtual visits.
  • Connect individuals to community resources that improve access to technology, including programs that reduce the cost of internet or technology devices.
  • Stay current on evolving telehealth regulations, insurance guidelines, and best practices.
    1. Monitor insurance coverage for telehealth services and related technologies, including wearable devices.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation and quality improvement efforts, identifying successes, challenges, and barriers to telehealth engagement.
  • Track and report key metrics related to program requirements, service access, and utilization of telehealth services.
  • Oversee the use, maintenance, and optimization of current telehealth platforms.
  • Promote telehealth adoption by engaging clinicians, agency leaders, stakeholders, and individuals served.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Telehealth service delivery - Understanding of how telehealth services are delivered, including technology platforms, workflows, and best practices.
  • HIPAA and privacy regulations - Knowledge of compliance standards related to protected health information (PHI) in telehealth environments.
  • Program monitoring and reporting - Basic knowledge of how to track and report program-related metrics and performance measures.
  • Leadership and supervision - Ability to guide and support a team (Telehealth Navigators), including training, performance monitoring, and providing feedback.
  • Technical troubleshooting - Proficiency in resolving basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues for staff and clients.
  • Communication - Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with staff, clients, and external partners.
  • Training and support delivery - Skill in educating both professionals and clients on telehealth tools and platforms in a patient, clear, and accessible manner.
  • Data tracking and analysis - Skill in using data to assess usage, identify trends, and make data-informed decisions.
  • Adaptability - Able to respond flexibly to evolving technology, regulations, and client needs.
  • Problem-solving - Ability to identify barriers to access and create creative, person-centered solutions.
  • Multi-tasking - Manage competing priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Client engagement - Ability to build rapport and support diverse individuals in navigating technology for their health needs.
  • Collaboration - Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, external partners, and leadership to advance telehealth access.

Education and/or Licensure Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience either delivering clinical services via telehealth or supporting telehealth operations in a healthcare or social service setting.
  • Strong candidates will demonstrate:

    3. Analytical and critical thinking capabilities
    4. High level of computer literacy and technical aptitude
    5. Strong communication and collaboration skills

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000, dependent on education and experience
