Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, high-impact initiatives within the Cyber Security Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) domain. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong executive presence, capable of navigating ambiguity, resolving multifaceted challenges, and influencing senior stakeholders across global functions.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes project/program plans for medium- to large-sized cybersecurity initiatives in the M&A domain, including schedule and resource forecasting, stakeholder identification, communication planning, scope definition, and prioritization.
- Creates and promotes a compelling project vision and objectives, ensures alignment across teams, and secures buy-in from executive stakeholders.
- Partners with Corporate Development, Legal, and IT leadership to align cybersecurity integration strategies with acquisition timelines and business objectives.
- Identifies and secures resources, aligns team member skills with project demands, and leads cross-functional teams using project management best practices.
- Manages project performance (on time, on budget, within scope, and with quality) for initiatives of medium to large size or complexity.
- Defines and tracks KPIs to measure integration success, risk reduction, and value realization from cybersecurity investments.
- Facilitates collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups using appropriate tools and communication strategies.
- Continuously assesses and improves project delivery frameworks, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
- Requires advanced verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
- Exercises strategic planning and prioritization to manage multiple workstreams and dependencies.
- Applies strong analytical thinking to solve complex problems and able to interpret data to guide decisions.
- Demonstrates creativity and initiative in drafting original project documentation, executive updates, and integration strategies within established guidelines.
Required:
- 7+ years of Project Management-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or 9+ years Project Management-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs across IT, security, and business domains. Skilled at managing ambiguity, aligning execution with strategic objectives, and fostering trust and accountability within diverse, distributed teams. Able to drive outcomes across multiple workstreams while navigating high-stakes environments.
- Expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models. Able to tailor approaches to suit project needs, especially in regulated or security-conscious environments. Experience managing dependencies, risks, and change across concurrent initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions and track performance. Proficiency in tools like MS Project and Powerpoint to build dashboards and executive-level reporting.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, terminology, and risk considerations. Able to collaborate effectively with security teams.
- Ability to lead diverse, distributed teams across IT, security, and business functions. Skilled at building trust, resolving conflicts, and fostering accountability in high-stakes environments.
