Job Summary:

The Document Control Specialist will work part-time overseeing the storage, organization, and disbursal of records and documentation, observing legal guidelines and best practices. You will administer the data management processes of our centralized library, respond to requests for information (RFIs), and verify document completeness and format requirements. This position is critical to smooth operations within our corporate infrastructure, and our ideal candidate has considerable professional experience in a similar role. You should also possess impeccable attention to detail and strong computer and data entry skills.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on the assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned.

  • Oversee centralized library of data and records, ensuring secure processes and limited access
  • Administer information retrieval and disbursement processes, observing all legal regulations regarding restricted information
  • Respond to requests for information in a timely manner
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of stored documentation, as well as appropriate file formatting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience compiling legal documents, compliance reports, opinion letters, and SOPs
  • Experience with Google Workplace applications including Docs and Sheets

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
  • Prior experience with data and document management
  • Computer proficiency and data entry skills
  • Thorough understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and agencies, as well as compliance best practices
  • 3+ years general office related experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
  • Proven excellent communication and analytical skills, written and oral
  • Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications
  • Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required
  • If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered
