Responsibilities

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional programs and drive strategic initiatives within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects, demonstrating excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership:
    • Develop and manage comprehensive program plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables
    • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives and ensure alignment with organizational goals
    • Identify and manage program risks, developing mitigation strategies as needed
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, customers, and partners
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams and departments
    • Present program updates and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans and initiatives
    • Align program objectives with overall business strategy
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for program success
    • Conduct regular program reviews and assessments
    • Implement corrective actions as needed to ensure program goals are met
  • Team Development:
    • Mentor and coach program team members
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
    • Provide guidance and support to direct reports
    • Conduct periodic and annual performance reviews
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage program budgets
    • Monitor and control program expenses
    • Provide financial forecasts and reports to leadership

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 12 to 15 years' experience
    • Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 10 to 12 years' experience
    • PhD in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years' experience
    • PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of program management experience in a relevant industry
    • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-million dollar programs
    • Experience in Agile and traditional project management methodologies
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software
    • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Results-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality outcomes
    • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture while managing details
    • Strong ethical standards and integrity
  • Clearance
    • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI
