Overview
Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.
Responsibilities
- We are looking for someone who is ideally a seller/doer with a reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships and has the proven ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team of environmental professionals including biologists, wetland/wildlife scientists, environmental scientists, project managers, planners, archaeologists, GIS analysts, storm water specialists, and air quality engineers/specialists working out of a group of regional offices. The individual must be able to sell and close project work and have existing client relationships in the Arizona or surrounding states.
- This position is both an internal and client-facing role that requires building and maintaining external relationships to assist in origination of project opportunities and maintain constant and satisfactory internal communications in support of target projects.
- The successful candidate will require minimal daily oversight/supervision and will be highly motivated to move projects forward in pursuit of meeting individual, group, and corporate objectives.
- The individual will be responsible for collaborating with TRC's national Market Directors and regional Office Practice Leaders to support and expand business lines (e.g., utility/transmission, renewable energy, development, water, transportation).
- Applicants must have experience conducting wetland delineations and permitting projects at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Experience with permitting processes for energy projects (i.e., electric and gas transmission siting and solar/wind development), wetland permitting, Federal Clean Water Act permitting is preferred and FERC project certification is a plus.
- Develop clients in the power generation, power transmission, pipeline and renewable energy market space, while also developing and executing a profitable growth plan to serve clients in the region, creating a stronger TRC presence in Arizona and surrounding states.
- Applicants must be able to effectively assemble project teams and coordinate with sub-consultants, when required. Ideal candidate will provide leadership in our PPL practice in Southwest. They will mentor junior staff and have the ability to manage a diverse array of projects.
- The successful candidate will have previous proven project management experience efficiently managing projects, budgets, and schedules.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Environmental Sciences or related fields. MS degree preferred.
- The successful candidate will have at least 15 years working with cross disciplinary engineering teams, and performing and managing the planning, permitting, compliance, and engineering studies for energy projects.
- TRC's strategic clients operate in the utility, renewable energy, transportation, and oil and gas sectors. Expertise in these arenas is required.
- Applicant should have knowledge and experience with regulatory permits and approvals in the Southwest (Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado), Mid-West (Minnesota, Ohio), and Southern States, USFWS and the USACE, and strong working relationships with federal and state agencies.
- Integrate well with existing multidisciplinary TRC staff and interact successfully with clients and other stakeholders.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range
USD $125,382.00 - USD $150,010.00 /Yr.
