Summary:

The Retail Services Specialist will run the day-to-day operations of the retail service online stores and will be responsible for developing assortment, analyzing business, and developing promotional strategy for each online business.

This role manages promotional vendor relationships and rebate programs with CHRISTUS. Plans, coordinates, manages, and assists in the administration of automated retail systems, including the management of internal company processes and policies, monitoring internal controls, and directing ongoing process improvement activities.

The Retail Services Specialist is responsible for the selection of goods that will be provided for all online business units and creating marketing packages for all observances and holiday events. Reports directly to the Manager Retail Buyer Ecommerce and provides support to the system and ministry teams as needed.

Responsibilities:


  • Meets expectations of the applicable one CHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self
  • Develops retail recommendations for planned observances and holidays.
  • Active on CHRISTUS Central, our primary communications channel to promote retail Services.
  • Regularly review performance indicators with the Manager Retail Buyer Ecommerce.
  • Manage plans for stock levels, reacting to changes in demand and logistics.
  • Meeting suppliers and negotiating the terms of contracts.
  • Supports the evaluation and selection of vendors.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products.
  • Provides ongoing management of vendor relationships to ensure technical solutions are achieving stated objectives.
  • Monitor and update vendor reference list, keeping accurate records of all contact discounts and emails.
  • Work with software vendors to manage requirements, system configurations, and any interface development and customizations.
  • Work with website vendors associated with retail to manage requirements, system configurations, and any interface development and customizations.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills
* Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Experience
* 2+ years of retail, project management, or operations management experience required.
* Working knowledge of accounting and financial controls preferred.
* Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within project management, value chain/operations, and retail fields.
