Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator for the School of Nursing.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Handles the daily practical application of Rutgers University and School of Nursing policies.
- Serves as the front line for students within the School of Nursing, primarily located in New Brunswick.
- Forms relationships with representatives of various academic and student services departments within Rutgers University and refers students to those departments as necessary.
- Coordinates the orientation programs for all New Brunswick nursing students.
- Plans developmental programming specific to student needs in collaboration with the Office of Academic Advising, the Office of Academic Success and faculty.
- Creates data tracking systems to resolve student issues independently while using professional judgment to determine when issues should be escalated.
- Guides students as needed about any communications and ongoing policy changes within Rutgers University and the Rutgers School of Nursing.
- Utilizes case management to support and track all students of concern.
- Works collaboratively with the Student Engagement and Wellbeing team to address and manage trends that have been tracked proactively through data to develop programs to meet the needs of students.
- Supports the planning and implementation of Office of Student Engagement programs and School of Nursing student organization programs throughout all of the School of Nursing campuses.

Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of student affairs, student engagement, crisis management, social work, counseling or related experiences.

- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
