We are seeking a part-time Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our CCS Ancillary Services program. JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Peer Support Specialist works within a multi-disciplinary team to help consumers in their recovery journey. The Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Ancillary Services program uses goal-oriented interventions to support youth and adult consumers who are struggling in various aspects of their lives. As the Peer Support Specialist, you will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to adult individuals with a history of substance abuse to help promote long-term recovery and prevent relapse. The Peer Support Specialist must be able to share personal recovery experiences and develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CERTIFIED PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST:
SALARY: $18.00-21.00 per hour, based on experience LOCATION: West Allis, Wisconsin. Local travel throughout the Milwaukee County area is required to meet with clients within the home and other community spaces, with mileage reimbursement. SCHEDULE: Part-time 12-20 hours per week. Hours of the position will vary but are typically Monday-Friday between 9:00am and 6:00pm. Some evening hours may be required depending on consumer availability. WHY WORK WITH PSG/CIP?
