Who you are:

* You thrive when you interface with client and/or client-facing teams and you are committed to timely delivery of high-quality, successful projects.

* You have lots of recommendations for creative ways to deliver on client expectations, meet client needs, and solve client communications or public engagement problems.

* You enjoy facilitating public meetings, stakeholder workgroups, or community focus groups to get to the heart of the matter, build consensus and uncover innovative solutions.

* You are exceptionally organized, with an almost obsessive attention to detail, and highly driven with the ability to manage the scope, schedule, budget and implementation of several major projects at the same time and meet deadlines.

* You are excited to help build relationships and promote HDR's Strategic Communications Services in the pursuit of new work.

In the role of Project Manager Assistant, we'll count on you to:



  • Coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's life cycle (from development and initiation to close-out), while under supervision of a Project Manager
  • Responsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger project
  • Coordinate workload through project execution and complete deliverables on budget and schedule
  • Work with the Project Manager, Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
  • Perform other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification
  • 7 years of related experience in communications, public relations, public involvement and/or community engagement; hdrinc.com
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, public affairs, journalism, marketing or relevant field.
  • Public involvement experience, particularly in the AE&C industry.
  • Deep knowledge of communications plans and campaigns for public involvement, stakeholder engagement and public relations.
  • Proven ability to develop compelling stories that strengthen messaging and engagement strategies for a program, initiative or project.
  • Experience collaborating with graphic designers, web developers and social media strategists to ensure cohesive message and user experience.
  • Experience writing for multiple mediums including social, print, audio/video, and web.
  • Service- and client-oriented personality with previous consulting experience
  • Self-starter; can work well independently or in a team environment

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 5 years related experience
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
