Accounts Payable Specialist

Your main responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. The
Company reserves the right to add to, delete, change or modify the essential duties and
responsibilities at any time.
The accounts payable specialist is responsible for processing invoices received for payment in an
accurate, efficient and timely manner, working in a high volume, high paced environment.
The AP specialist is expected to route invoices for approval and/or to achieve a 3-way match in
order to clear invoices for payment. This requires collaboration with the purchasing organization,
field organization and management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Scans, verifies, processes and codes vendor invoices.
* Creates and routes workflows in ReadSoft in order to achieve a 3-way match (PO related
invoices) or gain manager approval (non-PO invoices), in order to release invoices for payment.
* Processes and prepares payments for ACH, wire, and checks.
* Works with purchasing and/or field organization to resolve invoice discrepancies.
* Reconciles monthly vendor accounts for large vendors or as needed for other vendors.
* Corresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries relating to status of invoices and payments.
* Ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure all work is completed on a timely basis. This
includes taking the necessary steps to ensure work is completed within a reasonable period after
taking vacation or personal days.

QUALIFICATIONS
The accounts payable specialist must possess good interpersonal skills in order to work effectively
within a team environment and possess the ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines in a
fast-paced environment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* 2 - 4 years of work experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping or accounting; or an Associates
Degree with 1-2 years of previously noted experience.
* Bachelors degree is preferred

* SAP is preferred, large ERP experience is REQUIRED.

* Ability to reduce error rate of transactional items
